Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana on 14 April1976. Monroe Christian School was her private Christian primary school. Following the completion of her high school studies she transferred to River Oaks High School in the summer before her junior year. In the school, she was a part of the drill and dance team. She did a brief stint at Northeast Louisiana University after graduating. Ward started modeling at the age of thirteen, leaving her school in order to relocate to New York. She decided to pursue acting after a couple of years. The first time she appeared on stage was in an uncredited character in 1970's soap-opera All My Children, and later was cast in a teen drama on NBC Prime-Time Malibu Shores. Then, in late 1996Ward landed a role on the daytime soap-opera Sunset Beach where she portrayed the romantic Meg Cummings. The year 1999 saw Ward begin her movie career as Brittany Foster, the psychotic Brittany Foster of the erotic comedy The In Crowd. The film, which was initially an economic failure theaters, but later on video-on-demand (VOD), became wildly popular. Ward played a part in Shallow Hal in the year after, where she played a supportive role. She has also acted in numerous other direct-to-DVD movies as well as guest roles on various television shows particularly Friends.
